My name is Khurram Arshad. Date of Birth is 01/01/1992. Now a days i am studying at Superior University Lahore and enjoying the University life but it is not free life the burden of study is much and we have to study much and much to good marks.

UNIX Operating System

UNIX is an Operating System which is widely used in Severs, Mainframe Computers and Mobile devices. It was first introduced in 1960 and has been under constant development ever since.
It was designed to let a number of programmers access the computer at the same time and share its resources.

The developers of UNIX Operating System were Dennis Ritchie and M.D. Mcllroy.

In the 1960s, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, AT&T, Bell Labs, and General  Electric developed an experimental operating  system called Multics for the GE-645 mainframe. Multics introduced many innovations, but had many problems.

The features that made UNIX a hit from the start are:

Multitasking capability

Multi-user capability

Portability

UNIX programs

Library of application software.

The kernel, which schedules tasks and manages storage

The shell, which connects and interprets users' commands, calls programs from memory,and executes them.

The tools and applications, that offer additional functionality to the operating system
